OK — have been messing about with this thing for maybe a few months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since a mate asked me the other day. Am based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, nothing mad, for context.
How I found it was actually pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and get a shock. Now I punch the numbers in before every slip, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and you get returns with no faffing, either odds format. There’s also the fiddly ones — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at each way trixie and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
The thing that genuinely made a difference is the nerdier tools. They’ve got an odds-to-probability thing that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I use half kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. Its interface feels pretty plain — zero frills, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it’s fine though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. And no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.
So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does the job. If you honestly does the maths on paper, give it a go — saves me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
Right — been on this thing for something like five months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I’m UK based, mostly stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an ew payout actually was when the place terms changed. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now type the odds in first, every time, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I’m on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows profit and total return instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, which is where I’d always mess it up. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here each way bets calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that really made a difference was the nerdier extras. The odds-to-probability converter that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly staking calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is handy too for when I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. The layout looks pretty plain — zero polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it works although the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.
Anyway. Free, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If you still adds it up in their head, have a look — saved me plenty of „wait, that’s it?“ moments.
