Right — been on this thing for about four months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mostly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, for context.

What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I couldn’t ever figure out what an ew return would be with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and get a shock. Now punch the numbers in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I open most — you put in your stake, the odds and it spits out the return with no faffing, either odds format. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — acca and treble returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where most people I know lose track. If you want a look, it’s here implied odds calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that really changed how I bet is the more serious extras. The probability converter which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit for when I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. The interface feels pretty plain — not much polish, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works but the bigger tables are a squeeze. There’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

Anyway. Free, barely any ads, does what it says. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.

OK — have been messing about with this thing for maybe five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d write something up since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mostly bet football and racing, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was actually embarrassing — I could never figure out what an ew payout actually came to once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d eyeball it and get a shock. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator is the part I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and it shows the return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, and that’s where I always got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it lives at how many horses in a lucky 15 and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What really shifted things for me was the more serious tools. There’s an implied probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, plus a kelly tool — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent if I’m spreading across selections.

Not all sunshine though. The interface feels a bit basic — not much flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it’s fine although the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. Also there’s no app, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

So yeah. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me plenty of arguments with the bookie.

OK — been using this thing for maybe five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me a few days back. Am in the UK, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, for context.

How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never work out what an each way payout actually was when the place terms changed. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator tool is the one I open most — you put in the price and your stake and it shows returns with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where I’d always got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at calculate each way odds — free, no signup.

The thing that genuinely changed how I bet was the geekier bits. The probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I use half kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when I’m splitting a race.

Not all sunshine though. The design feels a bit basic — no flash, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it works though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

So yeah. Free, not plastered in adverts, works. If anyone still adds it up in their head, try it — saves me a load of arguments with the bookie.
